Here is another question:
I was talkin to a DJ last night and he said that his goal is to get a "release" before he is 25.
How does someone like me go about getting a "release"?
You seemed to do it a few times. _________________

well, first you need to produce a realy good track, after this you have to contact and send your demo to a few labels. when you are good enough they will contact you.
the best advice i can give you is to produce one good track. its better to produce one good track then 10 average ones you know
