| Never heard of a PC just "losing" files. Only way that can happen is via backdoor trojan and someone doing it themselves. |

had something like it a while ago
trojan entered my core and fucked up my whole system
there is only 1 thing you can do to avoid major problems...
every freaking time you find it necessary BACK IT ALL UP!!!
store new files in new folders and write them to cd's/dvd's every time... _________________ Time 2 Raise HELL ! |

don't install a new OS!
You can get most of it, maybe everything back.
Try this:
http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&q=undelete&btnG=Zoeken&meta=
Here are some (free) programs to get lost data back. If it is deleted, try WinUndelete. Most of the time it get's your stuff back.
I don't have much time right now, but tomorrow i can check on my work how to get the data back. I've got some free program there that i use when users delete their stuff... can't recall the name...
ow, before i forget; back-up all your data now and scan it with a virus scanner. if you don't, and if it's a virus, all your data can turn corrupt.
I'll post the name of the program with the download location tomorrow. |
