Hi there,
Im new here so don't shoot me for asking stupid questions.
(or are there only stupid people with questions?)
I used FL Studio in the past, after a while i began experimenting with Cubase.
The thing is that i almost always use VST's.
I can make Kicks (uTonic, ect.), percussion etc. arent the problem.
But i have always had problems making a Hardcore lead in FL Studio & Reason.
Because I use VST's, in Cubase it aint very different than FL Studio, but I still do not understand how to make it.
I am not looking for samples or presets, just info about the basics.
Is there anybody who knows a good tutorial online about Hardcore leads in FL Studio or Cubase with VST''s?
Leads like Angerfist etc.
Youtube has a few but it's Reason and I rather stay with Cubase. |

first of all
welcome to our forum and there are NO stupid questions so feel free to ask anything you want.
most of the time hardcore synths and leads are the same as used for trance but there is a certain amount of distortion added and and a whining sound like up down up down up down very fast with half tones.
when i get some time i will post a video of this.

hmm Hardcore Lead  its very easy you make a melody of your choice and make a disortion with it and use the Compressor!^^

Hi DJ Support,
Melodies aren't the problem, but getting the sound of the tune a little interesting is pretty difficult for me.
I just like to know how to get from just one simple tone to nice clean lead.
A little laser-like sound like Angerfist and Neophyte uses.
It aint like i am a fan of them but love his type of sound for leads.
They sound not that much distorted buy very clean with multiple type of strings or something.
The sound what i am looking for is prettymuch the current Hardcore type of sound.
I also am busy with industrial and tekno, but then i dont really need clean leads because i normally use filters and a lot of distortion.
I just love to learn about this gerne.  |

Hmm Yes! ^^ Angerfist make really good Leadsound:)
but make your style:)
i make Trance,Hardcore,Hardstyle,Techno,dance and a little bit Hands-up/dancecore. this ist very hard:P

freakshow, if you have the Pro-53 synth VST i could tell you how to get a hardcore synth sound that works well for me...
Sounds very close to what you're lookin for...

Thank you for your help, although i got a question.
It seems i can load various instruments but i cant find a way to load pathes such as the 343?
I can load a large number of instruments but can not find a 343 anywhere? |

it's just the program number 343...
you see when the synth loads, it starts at 111.
all you do is move it up to 343
343 is also called the "fatPWM"
