hi phil,

i case of these kicks its better to use hardcore kicks. because the nu style hardstyle is harder then the old.

its also possbile to take hardstyle kicks from the pack but i think you have to edit it a little to sound more like Zany or Showtek.

but i think its better to be creative and create your own kind of kickdrums. what i mean is to edit the existing kicks you have from the pack to make them unique

Sure it´s better to use owny style.

Those were only examples like my drum should sound.
I dont want to copy anyone of them.

I edit a lot of drums, layer with subbass but they never sound good because (i think so) the Distorted part not there.
It sound distortet but all samples are too short.
If i play the kick upper and lower it sounds horrible.

I try the Hardcore pack. Maybe it will help.

the hardcore pack will definately help you.

i recommend layering hardcore and hardstyle kicks and also changing the lenght of the hardcore kicks.

The hardcore kicks are recorded extra long in time so you wont have the problem that your kicks will be to short.

after layering you can set the lenght of the layered kicks wich is very important. you dont have to add extra distortion.

if you need help let me know

cheers

Marco

The Hardcore Pack is better to use.
Thats right.
It sounds better than the other ways i have tried.

The only think that i miss at the Sample packs ist a list with the root keys.
I allways have to try how i have to play the bassline.

but i think it will work ....

thx
