I have been watching the tutorial you did on YouChoob regarding the kick for hardcore, and ive tried to recreate it but im stuck.
Im not familiar with Reason and I need to learn it, as I use FL Studio, but im stuck from the bit after you load the sample into the NN19.
Once you load it in, you have a playlist thing going on that plays the kicks, where did that come from ? And how can I recreate that bit ? Otherwise im stuck using the redrum computer which doesnt give the same effects.
When I get anything playing in NN19 its the damn patch that auto loads.
Any help here would be cool.
btw there is a small proggy called DrumSynth that can create really basic kicks. Similar to microtonic. |

it took me a while to figure this out also. I assume by what you're saying, you're using Reason 4.
what you do is:
create NN-19 sampler
right click on empty area of the device (where there are no controls)
select initialize patch.
This will make the sampler empty and will only play the kick drum you load into it...
hope this helps _________________

note
that the nn19 load samples in two ways
the patch window on the left side can load 1 patch/sample
and the one above the piano display can load up to 3 wav samples which you can assign to an accord or key of your midi keyboard/controller
the nn-xt can load 1 patch and in the lower section as many you and cpu can take wav files
i asumed that it would handy to know in case you didnt knew it yet
in case you you want a chosen-fewlike kik?
create >combinator->create (there must be a red line in the combi)->nn19 or nnxt->then create in same combi-> an mclass eq
now assign para 1 and para2 of eq too rotary 1 and rotary 2 of the combi
you do this in the show programmer(3rdbutton next pitch and wheel)
click on mclass eq go to rotary1 on the right of the programmer display)now link it too each other param1->rotary1 etc.
load your kiks in the lower sect. of nnxt set root key etc
now make a 4 x 4 pattern on the piano roll with the kiks and place loop locators left and right from the pattern press play ...let it run
open show divces in the combinator and then selcet para1 &2 by pushing the button(must lightup red, just these two para1 & 2)
if its rght you dont hear any difference...yet
let it run and strt turning on the rotary 1 knob of the combi ,now the frequency is beeing chanced the sound-colour changes ....have fun
btw drumsyth? you dont need you got reason now eej
and check the tutorial about making hardcore like kik with the malstrom,
on youtroep also |

| Yeah I've checked out the malstrom one, makes a nice kick, but the other ones were based around a different kick than what I was using. (The basic one I mean) |
